Americans may wake up at 4:00 in the morning on Black Friday for some of the best sales of the year but those in the trucking industry know who put those discounted products on the shelves. Unfortunately, thieves know that as well. Over the last three years $6 million worth of cargo theft has taken place during Thanksgiving week. New Jersey has been one of the states hit most often. Among the most popular items are the heavily discounted electronics and clothing as well as everyday items like food and drink. Haulers of such products in New Jersey should be extra vigilant.
