New York City Small Business Services (SBS) encourages food and beverage (F&B) small businesses owners to apply to join the F&B Small Business Roundtable. The roundtable provides a collaborative forum for F&B small business owners to express business challenges and discuss insights and solutions. Discussions help to inform work being done by the F&B IP team toward the development of resources, programs and initiatives aimed to strengthen local food and beverage businesses.

The primary goal of the Food and Beverage Small Business Roundtable is to build a collaborative working relationship between small, independent NYC F&B small business owners and local government to uncover new ways to support growth and sustainability in the industry. If you are interested in becoming a Roundtable member, please fill out the SBS survey. Given the devastating toll the pandemic has taken on this industry, combined with a new administration looking to improve the business climate in NYC, this is an ideal time to join.

Even if you are not interested in joining the roundtable it is essential that SBS receive feedback from you. The dedicated F&B team seeks to present industry ideas, problems, and solutions to City Hall to make it easier to do business in NYC. They can’t do that without your input! If you own or operate a food service establishment, please take 2 minutes to complete this survey. All responses are anonymous. To learn more about the Food & Beverage Small Business Roundtable please contact Steven Picker or Rosanne Martino at foodandbeverage@sbs.nyc.gov.

SBS has a very strong track record serving as industry advocates. The Manufacturing and Industrial Innovation Council (MaiiC) supports the growth and sustainability of manufacturing and industrial businesses in New York City. MaiiC brings together the diverse elements of the industrial ecosystem to address the industry’s rapidly changing labor force needs and the business environment of NYC. To participate, or learn more, please contact, Alyssa Thomas or Miquela Craytor at info@maiic.nyc.
