DOT Voids Some Local Medical Certificates

Any driver whose current USDOT Medical Examiners Certificate issued by Dr. Gerald Surya has been voided by the FMCSA and must undergo a new physical examination within 60 days of October 20, 2015, says the NYS DMV (link here). Dr. Surya operated out of Medport at JFK.  He has been decertified from the FMCSA’s National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners because he is accused of falsifying medical exams and other violations.
