Operating a truck in the NYC metro region gets more challenging every year. Join the Trucking Association of New York (TANY)’s Metropolitan New York Trucking Conference on November 2 to address many of the issues that affect us all. Get a better understanding of trends, new rules and problems unique to operating in this area. The event will be held from 7 AM-3:30 PM at the Inn at New Hyde Park. Registration is $115 for TANY members and $150 for non-members.
The program includes presentations from NYC DOT about their Smart Truck Freight Plan and a federal update by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Certified drug and alcohol reasonable suspension training is also on the agenda. The federal DOT requires that supervisors of commercial drivers be certified in the recognition of the signs and symptoms of drug and alcohol abuse. So attendees will receive certificates that meet the federal requirement. Also on the docket are discussions on truck parking and safety and risk management. Finally, TANY President Kendra Hems will give an update on TANY legislative and operational initiatives in the Metro region.
Come for the networking, stay for the training.
