The new math: 32 minus 1 equals black ice.
Don’t let these comfortable summer temperatures fool you. Old Man Winter will be here soon enough and it’s time to start a winter prep check for your rig. Air-line anti-freeze, diesel anti-gel and daily air tank bleeding are your first line of defense. Check your batteries as well. It takes a whole lot of power to crank those engines up in cold weather. Make sure to check your tread depth also. You don’t get too much traction from a bologna skin. A little extra attention now will pay off in the months to come.
You can’t control the weather, you can’t control the road closures, but you control your vehicle.
Be safe, be smart.
