Zach Miller is the publisher of NewYorkTruckStop.com. The radio program is your inside guide to the political developments, legal issues and business challenges that affect your bottom line. Stay tuned for insight on developments that affect your fleet, your ability to drive, the effects of transportation policies on your customers and more.
NewYorkTruckStop.com is the online community for businesses that operate trucks in the New York Metro area. It is incredibly hard to operate a business in New York and even harder if you use a truck to make your deliveries or provide your services. Trucks are blamed for the City’s congestion. Politicians and advocacy groups are lusting over the revenue they claim a midtown toll tax would raise from trucks. Yet 90% of freight is delivered by truck in New York City. Buildings would not get built, air conditioning not get repaired and the takeout place that delivers your fast food would not get its ingredients without trucks. Without trucks you’d be hungry, homeless, and naked. Trucks represent commerce, commerce builds community and community is what makes America!
Tune in for lively discussions on truck parking, tolls, DOT enforcement, increasing costs, EZ Pass, bridge strikes, autonomous vehicles, vision zero, finding and retaining good drivers and information you can use to run your business. We’ll explore why trucks are being demonized and who’s setting the City’s transportation agenda. Please join us this and every Saturday and let us know what topics, issues, and events you’d like covered. Email us with questions and topics for discussion at zach@newyorktruckstop.com. We are your voice, we are your advocates, we are the lifeblood of the economy!
