It’s the Halloween season and the City is warning the populace to beware the demon drivers. With the sun setting earlier, pedestrians and cyclists are less visible in the dark – the perfect time to scare up more Vision Zero Enforcement.
New York City announced this week that tickets to drivers caught texting increased by 50%. The City wrote 47,914 texting violations in 2014, up from 31,835 in 2013. Statewide the jump wasn’t as pronounced but still significant at a 35% increase.
